From Colombia to London
After arriving at the destination after a trip that took ten hours from Colombia, we had to adjust to the significant difference in temperature before we could participate in the conference. After the warm temperatures of +25 degrees Celsius in Bogota, London greeted us with the typical February weather of +5 degrees Celsius and fog.
The Winning network hosted a get-together the night before the conference to formally greet its attendees in a pub located in close proximity to the well-known Tower Bridge. There, Chris Manimaker and Phil Nagy followed our group around in an attempt to capture a photograph of themselves with us together. The director of search engine optimization for the network paid for all of the beverages.
On February 9, we traveled from the hotel to ExCel using the Docklands Light Railway, which is an autonomous light rail system. ExCel is the location of the annual conference. Because there was also an expo for casino operators going on at the same time, we had to spend around twenty minutes going through their exhibits.
Poker rooms, affiliates, developers, SEO specialists, and publishers were all there for iGB 2023. To be more specific, the whole of the poker business.

The well-lit and colorfully designed lobby, the kind greeting, the James Bond automobile, and the extensive drink menu all gave us the impression that the primary representatives of online poker were thriving.
Naturally, we spent the most of our time communicating with our many business partners, including Chico, WPN, iPoker, GGPoker, WPT Global, Everygame, Vbet Poker, and others. As a direct consequence of this development, WPD now has a greater number of options to offer our athletes special lodging circumstances.
Additionally, we congratulated our colleagues at GPWA for their efforts to make our sector more “transparent.” This conversation took place over the phone.
Award
The event that was held to reveal the winners of all of the iGB Affiliate 2023 nominees was planned in the manner of New York City in the 1980s, and we were obliged to adhere to the right dress code for the occasion. The cuisine, the music, and the welcoming environment were all fantastic.
In the category for “Best Poker Affiliate,” our organization was among those that were considered together with iBetMedia and PokerNews. The other website ended up winning the prize in the end.
The second day of the conference was spent saying our goodbyes to our affiliates, engaging in lighthearted discussions on methods that might be used to boost the volume of website visitors, sipping Turkish coffee, and taking part in raffles where the top prize was a MacBook Air; however, we ended up winning a phone case instead.
The phrase “online poker is in its twilight years” has been bandied around very often during the last few years. After attending the iGB Affiliate 2023 and seeing the surge that occurred in 2021 and 2022, we are confident in asserting that poker is “alive,” and that the best players in the field are enjoying themselves to the fullest.
We have been informed by a number of the rooms’ representatives that this year will be “the most important year for poker,” so be sure to stay tuned for more developments.
