It was a busy week on the Road to KSOP GGPoker with three tournaments being played on consecutive days. On Thursday (30), it was the turn of Event #4, the penultimate event of the first stage, to take place and seal three more qualifiers. The tournament was a freeroll and recorded the best numbers compared to the previous two.
The Freeroll bombed with 809 entries, 13 rebuys and 6 add-ons. The top three finishers who had completed their registration were Fernando Sonoda, Rafael Gomes Santos and Davi Maciel Galhardo, respectively owners of the nicknames “fesonadAA”, “TagillaEFT” and “dedo337”. And the trio didn’t even need to reach the final table to get their spot.
Fernando placed 10th, Rafael was in 19th place, and Davi fell a little earlier in 21st place. Only the three of them had filled the register in the first 21 places. What a piece of cake, huh? The trio celebrated the qualification on Twitch at MundoTV and also saw two other players also guaranteed a place through a draw.

Lucas Granzoto and Henrique Custódio Moraes were the lucky ones and are also in the Final Phase of the Road to KSOP Special. Besides the five players mentioned above, Jobier Ternus, Daniel Sazo, Thercio Costa, Tiago Oliveira, Daniel Cruz, Gustavo Iunskoski, Gustavo Arruda, Marcos Vinícius Ferreira, Pablo Martins and Gilmar Nascimento have already qualified.
The last tournament will be on Tuesday (04) with $5 buy-in, $5 buy-in and $2 add-on with $200 guaranteed. The top four finishers with completed registration will move on to the Final Round. Three spots will be drawn among the players who played the five events and four more will be drawn randomly.
The Final Phase with 27 players will be Thursday (06). The big winner will take home a full package to the KSOP GGPoker Special worth $9,000. Stay tuned on Mundo Poker’s social networks.
